You knew it was coming. Former DHS official Stewart Baker, opened the ball with his atrocious attempt to portray the ACLU and the EFF as pirates and terrorist sympathizers. Some politicians bravely read the tea leaves (while tea was still brewing!) And said the attack in Boston in Exhibit A in the argument in favor of stricter laws on immigration.

Now is the time for lovers of surveillance cameras to defend and claim a piece of this tragedy as their own. An article in the Wall Street Journal contains some quotes from some amateur politicians who believe that this photograph successful hunt justified by increased police surveillance.
"They had to reconstruct who knows how many thousands of videos," said Rep. Peter King, Republican of New York, a member of the Committee on Homeland Security. "I think CCTV [closed circuit television] cameras are much needed in urban areas."
The FBI and police had "How many thousands of videos" and yet still not enough. They "need." More cameras Rey follows this line of thought, in an interview with MSNBC. So I think we need more cameras. We must stay ahead of terrorists and I know in New York, Security Initiative in Lower Manhattan, which is based on the cameras, the excellent work that follows. So yes, I am in favor of more cameras. They are an excellent method of application and the device. And once again, we are ahead of the terrorists,

who are constantly killing us

constantly ? This is a
interesting the reality ridiculous. (The odds of an American being killed by a terrorist attack are effectively zero.) The king must spend a lot of sleep, terrified nights chatting with Mike Rogers, whose fear prevents hackers will catch shuteye. Or, you talked to the FBI and NYPD seems fair can go a week without creating

and closing another terrorist "plot".

[Peter King cares about terrorists ... but only if they are Muslims. This is perfectly fine with white Irish terrorists since passed into history in the 80s showing their support for the IRA, which bombed including a shopping mall during the Christmas season, killing six people and wounding 90. Was
very concerned with civil rights. They were kind of terrorists. These beings, not so much.]
New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg also considers it justified the attack in Boston intensive surveillance in New York City ... or more than it already has.
