We recently had a stand at the head of one of the "fusion centers" of Homeland Security (the same fusion centers found by a congressional investigation as an almost total waste of time and money, not find terrorists but violates civil liberties groups), who said that DHS centers has not spy on Americans and admitted immediately touted "anti-government" Americans.

The definition of "anti-government" was mostly left as an exercise for the reader. However, access to a good time, the Partnership for Civil Justice DHS has released some new documents received by a freedom of Information Act request (FOIA), which show that DHS routinely spied on protesters and peace activists. Because the exercise of their First Amendment rights must take one of them is "anti-government" of Americans, which means that DHS is free to spy on you.

operating as a secret political police against those involved in the activity of the legitimate freedom of expression, peaceful, the documents show widely established that the "Division administration threat "directed DHS regional intelligence analysts provide" Daily Intelligence Briefing, "which includes a reporting category" peaceful protests of activists "with a" domestic terrorist activity. " (P. 68)
The JCP has obtained thousands of pages of documents in accordance with the requests for access to information and make it accessible to the public. Documents recently obtained show coordination and monitoring of intelligence from DHS, FBI, police officers in New York and other events such as "Occupy."
The documents show the systematic use of fusion centers to gather information on peaceful demonstrations, as well as the use of "Mega Center" DHS to collect information on police demonstrations.

It's not just the big cities. New documents show that DHS is involved in espionage against peaceful protesters and activists across the country. DHS also shows that the local police helped "crack" in the various meetings occupy. But the key is that DHS seems to have no qualms about spying on all those who do not agree with the rule the federal government today. And it is not clear, as they try to protect others against the threat of real harm. They seem to focus on the intelligence to pursue the goal of avoiding administration

looking bad
documents show that DHS seems obsessed with the question of whether any protests are monitored media attention and coverage. DHS reports in the media coverage of the first amendment protected activity, even in smaller communities, it seems to be a routine part of DHS intelligence reports. No documents to explain why the media coverage of peaceful demonstrations is of interest to law enforcement or is on "national security" in any way.
This is because it is "internal security" at all. It has to do with job security for employees of the National Security
