One day, 2 years ago now, I searched my name in Google and I was horrified that the first results in Google 4 could be reached on the electoral roll for 8 years, discovers my date of birth, complete address including house number, names and ages of my siblings and partners (who later went to live with me after leaving my parents' house after college).
I work with IDUs and my mother is a Senior Probation Officer. It is now easy for people to find some very personal information about me. With the click of a mouse. This reason alone is not enough to have their data hidden by Companies House. Need evidence of a very real threat, as (violence and support the police report) to have them removed.
The same applies to websites, such as Radaris, look at you, 123 people ... indexing online copies of voter lists, Facebook, etc.
I had a secretary for my parents very small part-time business and did occasional work for him during my vacation in college ten years ago. The company was disbanded, but my full name, date of birth and address of the parents are readily available on the Internet, if you enter my name in google. Third indexing third party sites have taken this information from the registry and sell online. I used to write queries for my personal information deleted. Some satisfied, others not - that you expect to pay (about 20) to provide the hidden information. Once a site goes down, another company appears. It is impossible to control the indexing of your online presence.
I have nothing to hide, but I feel very vulnerable with all my personal information so easily accessible. I have a very rare name, so anything that appears in a search result is really just about me and my family!
I am very conscious of creating online accounts. I think there is so much information out there about me! "

tried to delete my old myspace profile because it contained pictures of me with my art degree. They were not sexual, but not nudity. I worked in a school at the time and I was very uncomfortable with the images can be discovered by students. Unfortunately, I forgot my password and my profile was so old that my e-mail is no longer in existence. I emailed them several times but never managed to get the page removed. To my knowledge, still there.

frustrating beyond belief. A number of fake profiles of me were created on Bebo, Flickr and other social networking sites and sharing after criticizing the BNP line. Profiles from pictures of me from other places on the web and photoshopped and made me a gay transvestite ultra-nationalist (I know, funny, in a sort of WTF and almost flattering shape), and was laughable if so began my Google ranking to the point where if someone googled the fake profiles that appear on the first page. I repeatedly asked Bebo and other sites to remove these profiles, but with limited success. The results appear to be arbitrary, some are removed, but others remain in place
The problem became obvious to me when an ex girlfriend contacted me out of nowhere to say how brave I thought I recognized what was clearly a difficult position to leave, and now well understood why the relationship was over, that I'm gay and all that, but he thinks that my policy had become a little scary.

've been on the internet since 1985. I had about 130,000 visits Google my name (and I have a unique name), because a lot of professional work online.
- I think most people do not realize how their information is used online / abuse. Also, do not know how the data can be crossed from various sources, I do not know how online advertisers, Google, Facebook, etc. buy and sell data, facial recognition software can cross data. Or take pictures posted by their online friends can be traced to them. We do not know the extent of surveillance and criminal use of databases online. If they did, they probably would not get on the web with its own identity. It sounds paranoid, but this is the reality, and will only worsen with time.

A distant cousin with my same name (but different name) committed a murder 10 years ago, but the articles are still around, so the first thing associated with my name in a Google search is in this crime. I wrote to the publications in question, and it was agreed that the middle initial of the rest of the text. Now also always use my middle name in all correspondence, billing, etc. The only advantage of this "" double identity "," confusion is that my bills are paid on time (customers must pay attention to what is going to happen if the payment is late!). Deleting Facebook was difficult to navigate on the special button to push to close the account. Easy to push the button (but apparently the data is not erased, only "" unprecedented "" ...)
